Mwavu has always aspired to create solutions that have a socio-economic impact on individuals in society. His desire to leave a lasting change in the world led him to study a degree in Instrumentation and Control engineering at Egerton University, since he felt as an Engineer, he could have a more significant impact on the world at large. He finished his studies and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Instrumentation and Control engineering in 2016. At the same time, he earned a certificate in PLC programming at Egerton University. Thereafter he worked as an Intern at IberAfrica in 2017.
However, he always felt that he could do more, and his yearning for change led him to join DWright Consultants in 2018, where he started as an associate member in research and data analysis. Mwavu has always believed that data can give insights on critical social issues such as poverty and crime. He believes that with accurate data, welfare programs can be channeled in the right way leading to a much more significant impact on the target populations. As a result of his work and insights, he was promoted to be in charge of operations in 2019, a role he has held since then. Mwavu is always passionate about growth and personal development and has self-taught skills in research, data analysis and project management.
